Join H.A.R.D.!

Thinking of becoming apart of the H.A.R.D. family?

H.A.R.D. is always looking for talented, dedicated and hard working members!

So, you wanna be a roller girl?

Hurricane Alley Roller Derby offers boot camps and tryouts through-out the year!

In order to attend one of our boot camps or tryouts you must adhere to the following:

  1. All attendees must be 18 or older
  2. All participants must be wearing the following required protective gear to skate:
    1. Helmet
    2. Mouth Guard
    3. Elbow Pads
    4. Wrist Guards
    5. Knee Pads
  3. All participants must skate with quad roller skates! ABSOLUTELY NO ROLLERBLADES!
  4. Skater must have a good attitude and the ability to be coached

There will be NO exceptions to any of these rules and failure to comply may result in being asked to leave a boot camp or tryout.

All orientation, boot camps and tryouts will be held at H.A.R.D. House 3952 Leopard St. Corpus Christi, TX 78408

During camp you will be working with H.A.R.D.’s vet skaters to hone your skating skills and learn the ins and outs of roller derby in preparation for tryouts.

H.A.R.D. boot camp gives you the opportunity to:

  • learn the art of derby,
  • get to know the H.A.R.D. skaters, (and for us to get to know you),
  • and most importantly it gives you the opportunity to see if derby is right for you.

At the end of boot camp we will hold tryouts.  Completing H.A.R.D. boot camp does not mean you will automatically be invited to join the league; but it will give you a better understanding of what you’re getting in to.

Thinking of becoming a H.A.R.D. referee?

H.A.R.D. is always looking for dedicated referees who are willing to put in the hard work to become a knowledgeable official.

Everyone 18+ is welcome to join, but we do want to mention that this position takes just as much work as being a skater. That means coming to practices, meetings, events and everything in between!

For more information on how to join please contact our head referee Hitman at hitman556@me.com

Not sure want you want to do, but definitely want to be apart of the action?

More goes into putting on a bout for 500+ people than just skating! Thats why we love when people volunteer their free time to help us in the behind the scenes action!

For more information or if you would like to become a volunteer please contact Iron Jenny Flint at flintrollerderby@yahoo.com
